Who are Respect Mortgages?
Sean Horton is the founder, owner and editor of Respect Mortgages.
He has been involved in financial services and mortgages since 1988 and has been both an independent financial adviser and whole of market mortgage broker.
Sean is able to use his years of mortgage experience to ensure that our guides and information are accurate and useful. Being able to look at mortgage issues (credit problems, property problems) through the eyes of a broker gives him a unique view of how much added value a broker can provide to borrowers.
He is passionate about making www.respectmortgages.co.uk a goldmine of helpful articles and guides for anyone considering a mortgage as well as championing the need for independent mortgage advice.
Previously a fully qualified CeMap mortgage broker himself, Sean is driven to make people aware of just how much benefit they will receive from engaging with an independent mortgage broker.
While we are not a firm of qualified brokers, you will find that the quality of our site, and the information within it, matches up to the standards expected of an FCA regulated broker.
Sean lives in Kent and is also a small business owner and a buy to let landlord with over 20 years experience.
He has contributed to trade articles and national press and now regularly writes about mortgages and property investment to help readers better understand their options.
