Respect Mortgages is not a mortgage broker, so we are not allowed to give you specific advice on what mortgage you should apply for.
But we can provide you with all of the information you need to understand your position before moving to the next stage.
There are many steps to arranging a mortgage but we have broken them down into 4 simple points.
How do I know the broker you suggest is any good?
This is a fair question.
We work with one of the largest and most experienced independent mortgage brokers in the UK.

Be in the know
Find out as much as you can about your options and what you need the mortgage to do for you. Use online calculators to give you an idea of monthly repayments and other fees.

Get some advice
Visit our Contact a Broker page and let us suggest a trusted independent mortgage broker for you to speak with. The initial conversation is free and without obligation. They will explain how their service works and how much any fee might be. Their services are available whatever area you live in.

Apply for a mortgage
Your mortgage adviser will help you to apply for the recommended mortgage and ask for various documents that the lender will need. You will need to pay them a broker fee at this point, in addition to any costs the lender may require.

Mortgage completes
When your mortgage ‘completes‘ or starts you then need to make the new monthly payments to your lender. The lender will most likely pay your mortgage broker a commission for arranging the mortgage. The broker will then share some of this with Respect Mortgages.
It is important to know that our introduction service does not alter or increase any fees that you are asked to pay.

www.respectmortgages.co.uk is a free resource of information, guides, calculators and tips that cover all types of mortgages and secured loans. The site is constantly updated with interesting and engaging content that can help borrowers at all stages of their mortgage journey.
We don’t charge for access to our site or for any of the articles, guides, calculators, best buy tables or helpsheets.
Our income comes from two sources:
MORTGAGES
If you use our suggested mortgage broker then they will share some of the commission they receive for arranging your mortgage with us. This arrangement works really well, they receive a nice flow of customers to help and we get paid for introducing them.
It is possible to go direct to some lenders. But this won’t change the price or the fees. Any money that they would have paid to a broker they simply keep for themselves!
Around a third of lenders will only deal with brokers, so you cannot go direct to them. So to make sure you have compared all mortgages in the market you really need to use a whole of market mortgage broker.
